Made from smooth, nice-feeling Napa leather, the CoverCase Slip Hard Leather Case ($20) uses a design we ve previously noted we didn t like much when it was being sold by other companies: it s basically just a piece of leather wrapped around a hard cup that happens to fit the iPhone. iPO at CES - Reisinger: Piracy Drives Blu-Ray Support at
LAS VEGAS - LionsGate films has stood behind Blu-ray for a surprising reason, according to Don Reisinger in his C|Net blog on Thursday. It's because Blu-ray offers more robust encryption and anti-piracy support. However, Mr. Reisinger wrote that that's an awful reason to support Blu-ray and the LionsGate COO is off track.

Hands On iriver Aplayer vs. iPod nano: Thinner, More Gorgeous [Sizemodo]
After seeing the sexy press shot of iriver's new flash-based Aplayer (which also crams in voice recording and an FM tuner), we totally couldn't resist making the iriver guys pull it out of the case to stack up to a 2nd-gen nano we had on hand. Results? Judge for yourself. They were really scant on details, but we did squeeze out a date of first quarter this year, so we should it within the next couple of months.

Delphi has demonstrated its Wireless Vehicle Access software running on an iPhone this week at CES. News: ZAP to show Made for iPod electric car at
Electric car manufacturer ZAP has announced plans to show a Made for iPod car next week at Macworld Expo in San Francisco. The company said it will be designing its cars to include a head unit made for the iPod that will play music through the car speaker system as well as recharge using the ZAP Recharge-It-All made for iPod battery system. Warner Drops HD DVD, Will Go Blu-ray
Warner Home Entertainment announced on Friday that it will cease its its dual format HD movie support, eliminate HD DVD, and go with Blu-ray exclusively. Publishing on both formats will cease after May 2008.
