O2 Adds 1,400 Employees for iPhone

British mobile phone service O2 bulked up its workforce by 1,400 employees ahead of Friday's U.K. iPhone launch in an effort to keep up with anticipated customer demand. 700 of the new hires will work in customer service, and the remaining 700 will serve as additional staff in the company's retail stores.
