iPhone Patent Plaintiff Convicted of Health Care
The owner of a keyboard-related patent suing Apple for infringement over the iPhone is currently appealing a health care fraud conviction. InformationWeek reported Monday that Dr. Peter V. Boesen, the holder of the patent and the owner of SP Technologies, was recently sentenced to 51 months in a federal penitentiary for defrauding Iowa's medicare and Medicaid systems by filing false claims.
