SAN FRANCISCO -- Apple CEO Steve Jobs on Tuesday noted that Apple sold over five million copies of Mac OS X v10.5 Leopard during its first three months of availability, making it the most successful OS X release in the company's history.
Sony Concedes Defeat With iPod-dockable CMT-BX20i and CMT-BX50BTi Shelf Systems [The World Is Ending]

The Score iPod-dock shelf systems are about as dime a dozen as you get, but these actually are special: They're from Sony, the first iPod systems from them ever. Isn't this sorta tantamount to surrendering? The CMT-BX20i does the basics, and step-up CMT-BX50Ti adds Bluetooth to the same gear, for wireless streaming to other devices. But again: Sony iPod dock! The Rub: Pricey for being sorta bare bones, at $130 and $150 respectively.

News: New Poll: Are 5 iPod touch apps worth

After reading the many comments we have received since Apple s announcement that it would sell a set of five iPod touch applications for $20, we wanted to poll our readership on an important question: are Apple s Mail, Notes, Stocks, Weather, and Maps applications worth the asking price? When answering the poll question, found on the left hand column of the main iLounge.com homepage, bear in mind that the price could have been less or

Review: ifrogz Silicone Wrapz and Treadz for iPod

The four ifrogz cases actually consist only of two distinct case designs, sold in separate versions for the iPod touch and iPhone: one is called Wrapz or Silicone Wrapz, and the other is called Treadz ($20 each). We ve reviewed both of these cases before for earlier iPods; the major difference here is just in size and appropriateness. In simple summary, the Treadz case looks like a flattened car tire, and the Wrapz case is the latest generation

Found Footage: They iScrewed me

Filed under: Analysis / Opinion, Hardware, Humor, iPod Family, Found Footage I can't say MADtv is my favorite sketch show, and personally I really liked the Feist iPod ads, but in terms of skewering the downsides of being an iPod user, they pretty much hit the nail on the head on this one. If you listen to our talkcast, you'll already know that Apple makes their product release decisions based around my own personal experience -- every time I buy an Apple product, Steve stands up and releases something even newer and cooler soon after. Of course, as the parody says, if you want to own something that doesn't ever get better after you buy it, there is always an alternative.
