RIAA Extracts $3,000 from Hundreds of College
The RIAA has sent letters to students at the University of Nebraska Lincoln accusing them of illegal downloading. The letter demands US$3,000 to settle out of court or face a $750 fine in court for each song illegally downloaded, according to SciTech News on Monday.
